The Industrial Platform

Building the industrial platform that will power the nuclear industry of tomorrow.
En savoir plus

Jimmy is developing its own industrial platform in the Creusot Montceau Urban Community area to support the industrialisation and large-scale deployment of its thermal generators. The site will bring together several nuclear and non-nuclear facilities dedicated to testing, inspection, assembly and pre-assembly operations. It will also house a pilot fuel assembly and testing line for TRISO fuel, the type of fuel used in high-temperature nuclear reactors. In the longer term, following the commissioning of the first generator, the site will also accommodate an industrial-scale TRISO fuel production facility designed to meet Jimmy's needs.

The General Workshop

The General Workshop is a non-nuclear facility designed for the assembly, testing and development of certain generator components. It will also serve as a training centre for technicians, providing specialised training in nuclear assembly techniques.

The Fuel Assembly Plant

This facility will house a pilot nuclear fuel assembly line, enabling Jimmy to assemble and test the fuel that will be used in its generators. This pilot line has been recognised by the European Commission as a Strategic Project under the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA).

The manufacturing plant

In a second phase, after 2030, Jimmy will establish its own TRISO fuel particle manufacturing plant, drawing on the experience gained from its pilot line to tailor the facility's capacity and production output to the actual needs of its SMRs.
